Farm shop Šumavaprodukt
It was founded out of the Green Brothers' need and desire to supply local food to local citizens. The main supplier is Mr. Jiří Zelený, owner of Farma Zelený, which focuses on dairy and beef cattle breeding. From his production he supplies the shop with beef, pork and chicken. In addition to meat, the butchers at Farma Zelený produce excellent sausages (sausages, salami, sausages, pate....). The farm also supplies the shop with fresh cow's milk, which is only cooled after milking and delivered to the milk dispenser.
The farm shop works with a number of local producers who fill the shelves in the shop with dairy products, vegetables and fruit, jams and syrups, ciders, lemonades, beer and a range of other foods.
The owners of Šumavaprodukt are trying to expand the assortment to satisfy every demanding customer.
As the shop is supplied mainly from farms, the food is always fresh and of first class quality. Unfortunately, this fact brings with it a slight disadvantage. The shop is dependent on both the season and the production cycle of each farmer. In essence, this shop replicates the "retro" shops. Yoghurt arrives on Wednesdays, meat on Tuesdays, vegetables on Thursdays..... Scheduling orders is very challenging, but the shop staff have a lot of experience and try to make sure that the goods are always in full assortment.
On the other hand, the shop staff is very creative and can satisfy all customer requests, order, book, in short, accommodate and even advise.
Many customers prefer this way of shopping, which is not as impersonal as in big markets. Šumavaprodukt aims not only to satisfy customers, but also to support local producers and farmers so that their honest and local products and produce reach as many customers as possible.
The company is also trying to fulfil this goal by opening its own e-shop to deliver food directly to the customers' table. It is important to mention that this is a very challenging goal as food transportation requires perfect organization. In the first phase, the eshop will supply customers in Sušice and the surrounding area and if there is interest in its services, it will extend its radius of action to a larger region. The co-owner of the company Ing. Tomáš Zelený believes that Šumavaprodukt will also be successful in this area, because there is nothing easier than to try.
